Campfire and Starlight

Hello baby!
Have you seen me lately?
My eyes glow again,
and my hands feel again.

Come ’round my way,
and lets play.
The campfire, and star light,
will dictate our mood,
and we’ll light up the night
with our lips.

My hands on your hips,
with your arms around the back of my neck.
Let’s silence the howls of the wolves
with your pleasurable screams.

Come ’round my way
baby, and lets play.

Better by the Letter

I could write words for days,
and still not mean a single one of them.

I could feel something so strong,
and never find the right words to write.

I could spill my heart out
onto a page, or a blog post,
and come off disingenuous.

I could fabricate falsehoods
with consonants, and vowels,
that would seem  to emulate,
even perpetuate, a sense of  realism.

More often I find my self
feeling lost in a whirlwind of words,
like violently swirling tornadoes.

There are fields of flowers
with letters written on them,
but they never seem to
let me uproot them in the order
I require to paint pictures
using the vowels and consonants
sprawled out on their petals.

I am getting better by the letter.
The way of the pen is more
then spilling the ink kept with in them.
Spending seconds, hours, days, weeks, years,
seeking for words like
seeking for specific specks of sands
in sweeping deserts.
Our minds.

I’m getting better by the letter.
I’m getting better by the words.
I’m getting better by the poem.
I’m better better by the story.

The lost

Before the sea swallows the land
like a beast downing a sheep..

And before the sky falls
and covers all below
in blankets of fire like
children being tucked in
for the final time….

Let it be know that we tried.
We were cast aside,
and prodded to go else were
like cows to their slaughter.

We where the hopeful ones
among the hopeless.
We fought with words instead
of swords, and we shielded
our selves with faith, and not gold.

We placed our comfort in our back pockets.
Stitched on our sleeves our are beliefs.
We where the ones who had
seen what the world had to offer and
denied it the pleasure of devouring us.

Lost, but not in darkness,
we emerged a people of freedom.
We where the lighthouses guiding ships
back from the sea.

We where warned of the destruction.
Instruction denied.
Devastation….. supplied.

Treasure Chest

The sadness from the past
has left your heart agape
with a black void.

I shall intertwine my
fingers full with fiery of love,
and grip your blight struck heart.

I will pour passion past
the spilling point,
and steal the top,
like a stone cap to a well,
with a kiss infused with life

To make sure
you heart never surrenders
to sadness ever again,
I will always hold you close.

I will dawn my armor,
silver and gold with hope,
and draw my sword when
I  sense any threat that
wishes to steal the treasure
I’ve stored with in your chest.

Natural Love

The sky will sing
her name when we
walk on the wind.

The clouds will part,
and the sun will
spill it’s warmth over
the length of our shoulders,
and down our backs.

The tress will
beat like snares
when they sway side to side,
wile we glide over their tops.

Waters shall make waves
in attempts to grab us.
They will crash below us.
Making sounds, such as symbols
being bashed with drum sticks.

The clouds will
anger with each laugh
that we playfully utter.
They will reach out fingers
to strike us down from their

With each failing pass
they grown with thunder
to give us bass to feed our
melodic moments.

Nothing under the sun
shall break our love asunder.

The tress shall not break us.
The waves will never take us.
The thunder shall never quake us.

But this abyss,
filled to the brim with love,
and bliss, will consume us,
but we shall dance joyfully into it.

Why do you keep running
from your fears
like it has lungs
that run on oxygen,
like you, and I?

Fear will never be escaped.
Run face to face with
what fears you most.
Either that, or
get chased down like
wolves frothing after a sheep.

Fear runs deeper,
and deeper,
until it sinks you.
Breeder of paralysis,
and eater of life,
one must fight it,
sword in hand,
to defeat it.

Seek it out.
Root it out
like a viscous weed
in the most beautiful garden.
Left to survive,
it’ll suffocate, and eliminate,
every flower, and every fruit.
Every stable root, and every vegetable.

It’ll growl, and howl,
until you bow to it.
It’s hunger insatiable.
It will; voracious.

Stand and fight.
Run right into it.
Embrace the unknown.
Taste what it feels like
to live free from fear.

Little Soldier

Hold on little soldier.
You shall shine
brighter than your armor,
but not today.

You must fight.
You shall
slaughter doubt,
and subjugate
your own hate.

You will know
the fruits of your
labor, and the
spoils of this war,
but not today.

You sword shall
strike true, and just,
as your hope
guides your  hand.

You shall know the
embrace of your Faith,
but not today.

Hold on little soldier.
You shall shine
brighter than your armor,
